Registration of your Plug & Play solar system
Balcony power plants, also known as plug-and-play solar systems, are an easy way to generate environmentally friendly solar power directly from your balcony. To ensure that your system can be operated safely and in compliance with regulations, it is necessary to register it with the local grid operator before commissioning. Below you can find out how to register your plug-and-play system with Primeo Energie, EKZ and other grid operators.
Registration with Primeo Energie
If you live in the grid area of Primeo Energie, Aare Versorgungs AG (AVAG) or Elektra Gretzenbach AG (ELAG), you can register your plug-and-play system as follows:
- download the declaration of conformity: Download the declaration of conformity for the system offered in the Primeo Energie Shop.
- picture of the installed system: Take a picture of the installed system.
- fill in the registration form: Go to
Feed-in tariff
Primeo Energie also remunerates the surplus energy from plug-and-play systems. The energy fed into the grid is remunerated in accordance with the current price sheet for PV systems, just as with a roof-mounted system. You can find further information on the return delivery tariffs on the Primeo Energie website under "
Grid connection and remuneration rates for photovoltaics
". If you have any questions, please contact
plug-and-play@primeo-energie.ch
or call 061 415 45 53.
Registration with other grid operators
The following applies to all other grid operators in Switzerland:
- Download the declaration of conformity: Ensure that your Plug and Play solar system meets the requirements of the Ordinance on Low-Voltage Electrical Products (NEV; SR 734.26).
- Contact your grid operator: Enquire with your local grid operator about the exact registration requirements.
- Complete the registration form: Submit the declaration of conformity together with the completed registration form to the grid operator.
Feed-in tariff
You can also feed surplus electricity into the grid with other grid operators and receive remuneration. Ask your grid operator about the exact conditions. You need a smart meter for the feed-in tariff. After registration, the grid operator will check whether a meter change is necessary, which is free of charge for you.
Registering your plug-and-play solar system is a necessary step to ensure that your system is operated safely and in compliance with the regulations. By following the relevant registration procedures with your grid operator, you can not only fulfil legal requirements but also benefit from possible feed-in tariffs. If you have any questions or uncertainties, contact your local grid operator to ensure a smooth registration process.
